What If I Remember Everything from My QHHT Session?
This is a question that comes up all the time — and it’s such an important one to talk about.
The short answer? Yes.
If you’re preparing for a QHHT session, one of the things you might be wondering is whether you’ll feel “under.” Maybe you’ve read Dolores Cannon’s books or heard that people used to come out of sessions with total amnesia, not remembering a thing until they listened to the recording later.
And that’s true — it did used to be the norm.
But things are changing.
And that change is a good thing.
Yes — You Are Still in Hypnosis (Even If You're Aware)
One of the biggest misconceptions is that if you're aware during your session — if your conscious mind is along for the ride — it means you're not really in hypnosis.
Let me say this clearly:
You are still in hypnosis.
You're in the theta brainwave state.
You're accessing your subconscious.
You're communicating with your Higher Self.
You’re just doing it with more awareness than was typical in the past.
Why This Shift Is Happening
Decades ago, the only way most people could access this deep, healing part of themselves was to get the conscious mind completely out of the way. That’s why Dolores Cannon’s early clients often had no memory of their sessions — it was necessary for where we were, collectively, at the time.
But now? We’re evolving.
We’re raising our frequency.
We’re becoming more intuitive.
We’re learning how to access the right side of the brain — the intuitive, creative, multidimensional side — while still functioning in the world through the left.
And that means many people are now receiving QHHT insights in an awake and aware state.
Not just afterward — during.
This is part of the larger shift in consciousness that’s happening collectively.
What Other Practitioners Are Seeing Too
I’ve spoken to several Level 3 QHHT practitioners who’ve been working for decades, and they’re all saying the same thing: More clients are staying aware during their sessions.
Suzanne Spooner — a highly respected Level 3 practitioner — has shared this openly in her video How to Prepare for a QHHT Session (linked below). She explains that during this time, we’re being asked to integrate our Higher Selves in real time. That means being present with the experience, rather than needing to black out or dissociate from it.
I’ve seen the same pattern in my own practice.
Most of my clients are aware of what’s coming through in their sessions. Very few experience total amnesia anymore — and from my perspective, those weren’t necessarily “better” or “more profound” sessions. The depth of a session isn’t measured by how much you forget. It’s measured by how connected you are — and how much insight, healing, and clarity come through.
That said, this shift does introduce a new challenge.
Because the conscious mind is still present — along for the ride, but ideally not in the driver’s seat — there’s often a subtle dance that has to happen. The client must be willing to recognize the objections or interruptions of their conscious mind, and choose to soften, set them aside, and allow the subconscious to lead for once.
This is a new kind of inner work.
And it’s one of the most powerful aspects of this shift — learning how to balance the mind that questions with the inner voice that simply knows.
Why I Love This Shift (And Why It Matters)
Personally, I love guiding people through this shift — because it’s not just about the session itself. It’s about what comes after.
Being awake and aware during a QHHT session helps you build a relationship with your intuition in real time. And that’s something you get to carry forward into daily life.
Because let’s be real: the conscious mind (a.k.a. the ego) is always present. We live in a world that glorifies logic, analysis, and the left brain. But that’s only part of who we are. We have access to so much more once we start tuning in to our inner knowing.
Learning how to trust your intuition while the conscious mind is still online is powerful.
It teaches you how to navigate life using both parts of yourself — the part that questions, and the part that knows.
That’s integration.
That’s evolution.
That’s the real magic.
